This week I got a new cookbook. It is called “Hello, My Name Is Ice Cream” by Dana Cree.
A few days after I got the cookbook, I made one of the recipes. I made vanilla bean ice cream and it seemed super complicated but when I finished it was just fine.
An interesting thing I found about the vanilla ice cream recipe, was that it called for glucose syrup. I used dark corn syrup and it made it a little yellow, but it still tastes really good.
A few ice cream related recipes I would like to read and make are:
- Bubble gum ice cream
- Avocado grapefruit sherbet
- Lavender frozen yogurt (Froyo)
- Melted ice cream cake, and
- Goat cheese ice cream.
This cookbook seems really interesting in other ways too. For example, it gives info on the art and science of ice cream and even so many add ons to put on top or in your ice cream.
