We all know how “intuitive” the internet can be. Scrolling down your Facebook feed can be filled with ads related to your latest google search. Sometimes, I think Facebook picks up on real life conversations too! It’s pretty dang suspiscious if you ask me.. lol.
I will admit that sometimes they get it right. And they did… twice with two baking schools that Sophia and I were introduced to. Now, before I go on, let me share that I have not been paid to promote these school, we are loyal paying customers and been thrilled with our experiences.
The first was this past covid Halloween. Enter the Kennett Kitchen with a Kids Halloween Baking Challenge. 3 weeks, 3 challenges, tons of prizes, and a community of enthusiatic families. They even created an opportunity for PTAs and PTOs to use this event as a school fundraiser. All skill levels were welcome.
That was our introduction to this amazing kitchen and we have been hooked ever since. Megan, the owner, is always looking for creative ways to get families baking in the kitchen. She is patient, present, and encouraging. They offer all levels of membership at unbelievable prices.
The second school we have been introduced to more recently. When Kailey’s Queens appeared in my newsfeed as a virtual baking summer camp for girls age 9 to 15, I hoped they would be as good as they sounded. I had already enrolled Sophia in 4 weeks of virtual arts camps, but we had some free weeks that still needed filling. Unlike her younger sister who wanted to be in an in person camp, Sophia wanted to only do virtual camps this summer.
So, I watched some news interviews and testimonials and decided to sign her up for one week. For 4 hours a day, Sophia has been baking and bonding with an awesome group of girls and instructors. In her first week, she has baked snickerdoodles, s’mores brownies, a giant donut, croissants, and a roll up cake. Pleased, she is now enrolled in two more weeks.
How about you? Are there any baking schools or programs that you love? Tell us in the comments!
